Add a 110v receptacleLast project relating to the addition of Wifi and Cell boosters is a means to power when we have shore power. Both the cell and Wifi booster came with AC/DC adapters for use with 110v. I wasn't going to bother due to I'd need to run an extension cord to power. Work fine on battery, if we have power converter is charging. However digging thru stuff looking for something else I found this box-less plug I had removed/replaced with a brown on while back. Hmm, there is a receptacle directly below wardrobe. Be easy enough to run romex up. Being box-less/shallow would be simple to let into ward robe wall. Have the option or backup to use AC. Big plus is Margaret drys her hair here, distance to receptacle below limits movement- so in closet would be easier.
Well that was surprisingly easy...Cut hole with exacto knife for receptacle. Hole for Booster cables thru wardrobe bottom large enough to run romex. Cut hole in wall behind Wifi 'router' to enter wall space. From the receptacle below ran romex up, thru bottom into hole entering space between wall and up to new receptacle hole.
Communications receptacle :).
Seriously doubt, other than checking to see if any difference, Ill be plugging them in but the option good. More of convenience for Margaret since I'm here. This and plug tapped are on the Air conditioning circuit, separate breaker. Lower plug was added to plug in electric heater plug (wont be using the AC if heater plugged in). So still good for hair drier power.
