2022- rework this table to use for walking foot sewing machine Original build see Worktable.htm
This H/F table was seriously modified few years back, adding power strip, casters and butcher block top and other details to use as portable workstation. Recently acquired a Consew CP206RL walking foot semi industrial sewing machine. I was going to cut hole in my work bench to mount but this table as handy as it is isn't used all that much. Would be perfect for the sewing machine. Dedicated space I wouldn't have to cut workbench which isn't an issue but machine would need to be removed when I need the workbench surface. Modifying this table would be a lot simpler and be permanent station for using sewing machine.
Marking out hole needed for sewing machine. I want to minimize cut out so cut out will be notched to fit machine. Once hole cut is to use router removing about 3/8" so machine recessed and sets flush with table top.
To get machine all the way to right means one large notch will be past glued and screw support. Concern is I dont want the top coming apart so added another support to keep top from possibly separating.

This butcher block top is hard as a rock. Burning up jig saw blades like crazy. Top is 40 years old but cant believe how dense it is. A lot of finessing to get machine to slip inside. By the time I got it to fit I abandoned the plan to rout out top. Just took way too long.
Cleaned up and painted black so not quite so hacked looking.
Mounted. Machine has allowance to add hinges which I may add later, would make getting underneath easier to oil. Table will be good for small sewing projects. I will be adding a drop leaf at some point on left side for material support.
In use- 
A lot of finish details TBD on table, remount light- wiring in new Sailrite motor to slow down machine etc but sewing 4 layers of 500D material, 1" webbing and or velcro machine just punches right thru as intended.
