Simple mod to more easily slide thick material under foot. Not a lot of detail but seen on video where a simple screw is used to decrease space between lift bar and presser bar actuator, or so it engages sooner to lift higher.
Only difference in my mod is I removed the lift bar to drill-the video I found he used a self tapping screw (but no details how )
FYI on my parts manual for the CP206RL item #3 W026 'lift bar' is the part being modified. item #18 W084 'presser bar actuator' is removed temporarily for easier access
Looking at end of machine with cover off what we are modifying.
The actuator plate is removed for simple access to remove the lift bar. Once screws removed slightly rotate bar out from behind thread lever.

The bar is very light gage so care must be used drilling or running self tapper to not twist. Take a picture of it. I was able to clamp tab in drill press vise and LIGHTLY and SLOWLY applied drill pressure.
This is the only real place you could screw up. Nothing else were doing affects any tolerance or function of machine.
This is MUCH harder trying to describe than doing...
Bar with new screw
Replacing drop in from top, slight rotating to get behind the tension lever. Tension lever must be between the 2 tabs. Reinstall top screw thru bar with flat washers between bar and lift lever/handle. reinstall bottom screw thru bar slot. Reinstall larger screw thru pressure bar actuator.
And we have lift off
Angle a bit skewed, actually lift is about 3/8".
Now that this is done much easier to slide material under foot.
Note: I also realized after the fact, though didn't verify, it might be simpler to remove the actuator plate and drill it for screw instead of the lift arm. Worth looking at, need to ensure screw in the actuator plate wouldn't interfere with its travel. Lift arm is pretty flimsy, difficult to drill without bending. The actuator plate is much thicker, less disassembly.
